A print media path for a printer (10) for the transportation of a printed sheet of print media (80) includes a drive arrangement (120) for driving the printed sheet of print media (80). A guide element (116) is arranged downstream of the drive arrangement (120) over which the printed sheet (80) is driven by the drive arrangement (120). The sheet (80) is retained in spaced relationship relative to the guide element (116) and the guide element has a free edge (116.1). A stop member (124) is arranged downstream of the free edge of the guide element (116.1) and is spaced from the guide element (116) so that, after abutting against the stop member (124), the printed sheet (80) can be deposited, between the free edge of the guide element (116.1) and the stop member (124), into a receiving zone (118) of the printer (10).
