PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein further reduction of power consumption at waiting is difficult in a present PWM control or intermittent control, with respect to a non-insulated power source where a switching device is on high side and an output voltage detector is on low side. SOLUTION: An output voltage signal VL is varied by transmitting the variation of OUT terminal voltage VOUT to a V-I converting circuit 26 and an I-V converting circuit 11 via an error amplifying circuit 25. Since VL is the reference voltage of an overcurrent detecting circuit 15, the drain current peak of the switching device changes. VL is connected to an intermittent oscillation control circuit 16 having hysteresis properties thereby intermittently oscillating the switching device. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
