PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat insulation cover member, in which mounting work to first-layer cover members and second-layer cover members can be easily performed in short time, and in which breakage of the cover members due to cooling shrinkage can be securely avoided. SOLUTION: A plurality of first-layer cover members 1 for heat insulation are disposed along an outer surface of a subject to be kept cold. The first-layer cover members 1 adjoining each other are connected to each other by connection parts 12. A plurality of second-layer cover members 2 for heat insulation are disposed along the outer surfaces of the first-layer cover members 1. The second-layer cover members 2 adjoining each other are connected to each other by the connection parts 12. The first-layer cover members 1 and the second-layer cover members 2 are thus installed on the outer surface of the subject in this cover member for heat insulation. The outer surfaces of the first-layer cover members 1 and the inner surfaces of the second-layer cover members 2 are preliminarily connected to each other by releasable means 11 that can be released from each other.
