PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified pedestal foundation structure and its construction method with reduced man-hour. SOLUTION: The pedestal foundation structure K according to this invention is a foundation 1 comprising an H-steel 3. The position of the H-steel 3 where a column 2 is to be installed and fixed is reinforced in a box form between flanges 3a and 3a thereof. When the foundation is constructed, if it is of a steel-frame reinforced concrete structure, the placement of concrete 1a for the H-steel 3 is done with the concrete top surface level lowered within a prescribed range for the H-steel area to place and fix the column 2, so that the placement and fixation of the column 2 to the flanges 3a of the H-steel 3 may not be hindered.
