PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device of an elevator used in the wake of earthquake capable of accurately detecting the occurrence of abnormality by discriminating sound generated in inspection operation after the earthquake occurs. SOLUTION: A car 3 without passengers 6 is lifted by an earthquake control operation. Sound generated by the lifting is received from a phone 5 in the car to determine whether the sound is abnormal or not for the position of the car 3. When any abnormal sound is not detected over the entire area of a lifting stroke, the operation is returned to a normal one, and if the abnormal sound is detected, the lifting is stopped to rest the operation.
