The invention concerns a jet regulator (1), comprising a jet fractionating device inside a mounting case (6). The invention is characterized in that the mounting case (6) is divided into at least two parts (7, 8) capable of being connected, and in that one part (7) of the case on the flow inlet side is fixedly and non- releasably connected to the jet fractionating device (2). The inventive jet regulator (1) is further characterized by high shape stability and relatively low production cost, even for cases with reduced diameters.
