A carton has a compartment-forming structure, preferably made from a single blank, which comprises intermediate longitudinal partitions 1, 2 from which are formed outer transverse partitions 12, 14 and outer longitudinal members 3, 4 which are secured to opposite side walls 37, 44 of the carton. A further longitudinal partition 24 provides intermediate transverse partitions 27 and occlusion panels 16, 19 mask off, in the erected structure, the apertures formed in partitions 1, 2 and 24 to prevent articles in one longitudinal row contacting those in another. Panel 19 is sandwiched between partitions 2 and 24 and the longitudinal member 26 of transverse partitions 27 is secured to panel 16. The structure is secured to opposite end walls 42, 46 of the carton by a wall 9 and flaps 7 and 29. The shaded portions of the figures indicate areas coated with pressure-sensitive adhesive. |
