[Also in Division H2] A push-button 2 of light transmitting material has two reflecting surfaces 9, 12 each reflecting light from a lamp 6 to different parts 8, 11 of the visible end of the button. The button 2 projects through an opaque screen 1 arranged to interrupt the light to the upper reflecting surface 12 when the button is released so that when released the central area 8 only of the button is illuminated but when depressed both areas 8, 12 are illuminated. The inner area 8 may be faced with an opaque film through which suitable markings are formed. The assembly of Fig. 1 may be extended in either direction so that each button receives light from two lamps and each lamp illuminates two buttons. More than two buttons may be illuminated by a single lamp.
