The shaving device has a spokeshave (2) alongside a test shoe (1) for one surface of the board element (3). The test shrew has an aperture (7) pointing in the direction of the cutting point of the spokeshave. This aperture is also a channel for gas acting on the cutting point. The channel is connected to a compressor or to a compressed gas cylinder.
