A double glazed oven, e.g. an electric oven with pyrolytic self cleaning facility, has the space between the windows cooled by airstreams from slots in the side frames (22) of the oven. The improvement has a baffle (24) in each vertical side frame to split the cooling airstreams into upper and lower paths. This reduces the path length and minimises the heating effect before the air is ducted between the windows. The improved cooling ensures a safe temperature for the outer window, even during pyrolytic cleaning.
