ASSEMBLY FOR PROJECTING AN IMAGE ONTO A PROJECTION SURFACE

An arrangement for projecting an image on to a projection surface has a light source (1) for generating a luminous field (3), and a reflective light modulator (12;13;14) which receives light leaving the luminous field and modulates the light for generating an image. An optics device (7) is connected in series with the light modulator for on the one hand imaging the light from the luminous field on to the light modulator (12;13;14) and on the other hand imaging the modulated light by means of the modulator in to one of the projection optics (16) in order to generate an intermediate image in the intermediate image plane (ZE), and which can be projected by the projection optics (16) onto the projection surface.
