The compressed air line (2) allocated to each air lift pump (1) and connected to a compressed air unit, is located in an air lift pipe (3). The fluid is passed through the intermediate space formed between the compressed air line and the inner wall of the air lift pipe : The compressed air outlet of the air line (2) is above the lowest position of the lift pipe. The air lift pump is placed in a casing tube (6), with openings (8) passing the fluid. It has a base with openings. The casing is hung and/or clamped on a chamber wall (10). Numbers of air lift pumps are included in the casing tube. Openings are provided at various levels. The casing is closed by a cover (7) through which the air lift tube is passed. The cover includes air openings. The air lift pump(s) is/are attached to the cover.
