The sunshade, which can be a promotion article and provided with a company logo or slogan, is stamped out of a sheet of rigid paper or thin plastic. It is designed as a long strip (4) and a semicircular segment (2) protruding slightly off center from the edge of the strip (4). The strip (4) can be guided around the head of the user and adjusted in width by inserting the barbed tip of one outer end (6) into one of several slots (7) provided at the opposite end (5). The sunscreen (2) is first folded around the perforated straight line (10) into a vertical position and around a curved perforated line (11) into its final shape.
