Hairbrush with variable length retracting bristles mounted on a backing plate and with an adjusting control

A hairbrush with variable length retracting bristles (7) has the bristles mounted on a backing plate inside a hollow housing and linked to an adjusting control (11) which moves the bristles from a fully extended setting to a fully retracted setting. The fully retracted setting allows the user to easily remove collected hair and fibres. The control also enables the user to set the protruding length of the bristles. The bristle length control (11) is fitted into the handle. The brush is made from two interlocking mouldings.
