Disclosed is a method for suppressing vibrations of a vibrating system (2) that comprises an exhaust system (3), an engine (4), and/or a transmission (5) and is fastened to a motor vehicle (1) by means of a number of bearing elements (6). According to said method, the individual bearing elements (6) of the exhaust system (3), engine (4), and/or transmission (5) are provided with modifiable stiffnesses which are adjusted in accordance with each other and the operating conditions of the motor vehicle (1). The inventive method allows for an improved suppression of vibrations, influencing or preventing undesired vibrations and resonances of the vibrating system (2) in a particularly flexible and therefore especially effective manner. |
