<p>Production of a flat spiral spring with a defined curved spring axis comprises winding a blank (2) having a number of windings (12) about a linear spring axis (3), and inserting a shaping wedge (11) in a pressing direction (15) between adjacent windings to curve the spring axis. The penetration depth of the shaping wedge between the adjacent windings can be varied along the spring axis. The shaping wedge is rotated about the pressing direction relative to the blank so that its orientation to the spring axis changes along the spring axis. An independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the above process.</p> |
