The method for color printing a colorless foil (2) with a stabilizing coating unwound from a roll (15) involves transport of this foil to a color printing unit (3) and from there to a cylindrical drying element (5). Subsequently the stabilizing backing is removed and a foaming process is used to produce a profile incorporating the proposed printed foil. An independent claim is also included for an installation for implementation of the proposed method.
