The support element (10) is assembled of an inner pipe (12) axially moving in an outer pipe (11), two helical springs (25) joined between the inner pipe (12) and the upper surface of the bottom plate (16), and a track wheel (15). When the weight of the trailer pushes the element (10) to the front the track wheel (15) is moved along a convex guide (18) gently extending the springs (25) guided around semi-circular projections (29) at the inner surface. When the trailer is attached to the driver's cabin the bottom plate (16) is pulled back by the springs (25) while it is lifted from the ground. Chamfered guiding flaps (27, 27a) facilitate a precise positioning.
