PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine which improves feeding precision without enlarging a bed in the direction X. SOLUTION: A guide member 70 is fixed to each lateral wall part 66a of a Y drive main body 66 so that it juts out upward. The guide member 70 is composed of a guide main body 72 shaped like a letter L in a lateral view and rollers 76 provided on the upper sides of horizontal parts 72a of the guide main body 72. Guide rails 88 extending in the direction Y are fitted to the opposite end parts in the direction X of the presser plate 78. The guide rails 88 and the rollers 76 of the guide member 70 are disposed respectively so that the lateral sides of the guide rails 88 are always engaged with the rollers 76.
