FIELD: pipe fittings and valves. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention is designed to control flow rate of liquid trans ferreed along pipeline. Proposed ball cock contains housing with branch pipes. Ball is placed in housing space. Said ball is secured on shaft and is provided with through hole. Two disks are secured on end faces of ball square to axis of its rotation. Disks play the part of four-lobe cams. Two seats sealing the ball are fitted in slots of spring-loaded mandrels. Radial section slots are made in end faces of mandrels. Radius of slots is equal to radius of projections on end of disk. Center of radius of slots is displaced relative to axis of disk rotation towards opposite mandrel. ^ EFFECT: increased service life of ball cock owing to reduced friction wear of contact surfaces of projections of disks and end faces of mandrels when ball turns relative to seats. ^ 3 dwg |
