The present invention relates to electronic judging system and method for management of sport competition in semiautomated manner, which allows to improve the accuracy of the detection of the finish line crossing moment, group finish and start, in particular at the false start. According to the invention, in electronic judging system (fig.1) for detection of movement of the competition object comprising at least one camera for obtaining images from the detection area, a main controller connected to the output of the camera for processing the obtained images so that the images can be forwarded to a monitor of the central computer for their visual control, at least one camera (3, 4) is connected to the input of the central computer (1), the main controller (5) is connected to the central computer (1) and a start console (7) is connected to the input of the main controller (5), wherein signal lights (6) and false start information panel (12) are connected to the output of the main controller (5). Method of electronic judging provides obtaining the images from the detectable competition area, their resending to the main controller (5) and output on the monitor (2) of the central computer (1) for visual control of competition objects (15).
