The procedure consists of taking the fabric from a roll (3), passing it between rollers (2) and through a duct (4, 6) and crushing it in three-dimensional folds in a net (8). The compressed fabric is then subjected to saturating steam under a pressure of 1.4-3 bars and at a temperature of 108[deg]C for a predetermined time in an autoclave. Before the heat and pressure treatment the fabric can be printed, infrared treated and/or waterproofed. |
