The installation has a fuel cell supplying electrical power to a motor vehicle, and a burner (4) to burn gas at the output of the fuel cell. Compressors (12, 18) compress the air necessary for the components of an air system (6) and a water circuit (7). Liquid water injectors (16, 17) inject liquid water into the air flow in the upstream and downstream of the compressors. Independent claims are also included for the following: (a) a process for production of electricity; and (b) a vehicle with an installation for electricity production aboard the motor vehicle.
