FIELD: welding production, namely cutting metals and non-metallic materials, welding them, surfacing and performing deposition without use of electric power, gas and special equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes exothermic rod wrapped by paper and having wick and exothermic gas generating member. Rod holder is made of refractory construction material and it has cavity for placing exothermic rod in it with possibility of fixing it. Rod holder is covered with refractory protection coating. Exothermic gas generating member of rod includes exothermic composition for solid-fuel type missile engines with additives such as binder and burning inhibitors. Ingredients of composition are selected by calculation according to its designation. Exothermic rods in the form of tetrahedrons or round stems include gun powder. Inner cavity and nozzle of rod holder have ceramic coating. ^ EFFECT: possibility for making welding apparatuses of different size including pocket-size ones, less cost price of exothermic rods. ^ 7 cl, 2 dwg |
