PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an electric-pneumatic converter, using a pilot relay having a large dead zone to cope with a wide range of load capacity. SOLUTION: This electric-pneumatic converter for converting an electric signal to a pneumatic signal includes: a voltage/current converter for converting an input voltage signal to an electric current; a torque motor for outputting nozzle back pressure on the basis of the output of the voltage/current converter; a pilot relay for amplifying the nozzle back pressure from the torque motor to be supplied as the control pressure to a controlled object; a pressure sensor for detecting the control pressure of the pilot relay: and an arithmetic control means for obtaining a deviation between a pressure value signal which is the output of the pressure sensor and an input target value signal, adjusting a voltage signal so that the deviation becomes zero, and controlling so that the pressure value signal coincides with the target value signal.
