摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing at least progress of formation of sludge due to fuel flowing in a crank chamber. SOLUTION: An engine controlled by an electronic control unit (ECU) is provided with a blow-by-gas re-circulation device re-circulating blow-by-gas leaking in the crank chamber from a combustion chamber to an intake system via a blow-by-gas passage. The ECU estimates formation of sludge accompanying deterioration of engine oil at least based on fuel flowing in the crank chamber and re-circulated in the intake system with blow-by-gas (step 50-450). When the ECU estimates formation of sludge, fuel concentration in the crank chamber is reduced by making valve opening of a PCV valve in a middle of the blow-by-gas passage larger than valve opening according to operation state of the engine at a time and increasing quantity of air flowing in the blow-by-gas passage.
