PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting metal fitting for a wooden building member easily manufactured at a low cost without a joint plate getting in the way when carrying wood from a factory to a building site, and contributing to the improvement of workability and economical efficiency of a wooden skeleton. SOLUTION: This connecting metal fitting for a wooden building member is provided with a shaft 3 embedded in main members 1, 2 in the projecting form of the end parts; the joint plate 6 inserted in a slit 5 formed at the end part of a horizontal member 4; and a fixing pin 7 for fixing the joint plate to the shaft. The joint plate 6 is fixed to the shaft 3 by inserting the edge part in a slit 8 formed at the end part of the shaft 3, and by passing the fixing pin 7 through from the side part.
