PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a resin-molded article with gas barrier properties, which provides a gas barrier film having superior gas barrier properties, high adhesion strength between the film and the resin-molded article, and repeated fatigue resistance, to the resin-molded article, and to provide the resin-molded article with the gas barrier properties and the superior adhesion strength manufactured thereby. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the resin-molded article with the gas barrier properties comprises irradiating a target made of a metal-based material with a pulsed laser light having a pulse width of 100 picoseconds to 100 nanoseconds and an irradiation strength of 10<SP>8</SP>W/cm<SP>2</SP>to 10<SP>12</SP>W/cm<SP>2</SP>, to produce a vacuum-ultraviolet light with wavelengths of 50 nm to 100 nm and scattering particles containing metal atoms; and depositing the scattering particles on the surface of the resin-molded article, while irradiating the surface with the vacuum-ultraviolet light, to form the gas barrier film consisting of a metal-based material.
