PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular aromatic hydrocarbon resin excellent in caking resistance caused by fusion, and to provide a method for attaching an anti-caking agent. SOLUTION: After an aromatic hydrocarbon resin is granulated, a finely divided powder of an inorganic compound such as magnesium silicate, talc or clay is uniformly attached on the surface thereof to prevent granules with caking properties from coming into direct contact with each other to prevent caking. Alternatively, after an aromatic hydrocarbon resin is granulated, it is uniformly mixed with a finely divided powder of an inorganic compound such as magnesium silicate, talc or clay to attach the finely divided powder of an inorganic compound on the surface of the granular aromatic hydrocarbon resin.
