PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable long-term storage and usage of cut Japanese pampas grass, to maintain its flexibility, and to increase its decorative value by imparting various colors. SOLUTION: Japanese pampas grass is dyed by dipping it into a dyestuff solution prepared by adding salt and boiling. After dyeing, the grass is further dipped into a glycerol solution and dried.
