PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a glass pipe of a uniform thickness with small eccentricity and a manufacturing unit of a glass pipe for the method. SOLUTION: In this method, a molding part 31 is attached to an end of a support part 32 which goes through a glass pipe material 1, a starting material, and the glass pipe material 1 is heated, while the molding part 31 is abutted with the hole of the glass pipe material 1, and the molding part 31 is pulled by the support part 32 with force to the moving direction, thus the glass pipe material 1 and the molding part 31 are relatively moved while increasing the inner diameter of the pipe, and a glass pipe of a desired inner diameter is formed.
