PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a boat that can be rowed only in a backward direction to move forward by a conventional way of rowing, and to move forward at boosted speed. SOLUTION: The manual type oar is structured to move forward at boosted speed by engaging large and small gears and rowing as before. Therefore, by pulling a grip bar in a direction of an arrow, the oar is moved in the direction of the arrow, and by engaging the large and small gears, reciprocating movement of the grip bar can be made into half.
