PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily presume three parallel advancement force of longitudinal force, lateral force and vertical load applied to a tire while maintaining durability strength to high degree, to exactly grasping the rolling movement state of the tire and to conveniently carry out control of various vehicle control systems. SOLUTION: In the detection method, the force applied to the tire is detected by distortion output of a distortion sensor for detecting distortion of a surface of the tire. The distortion sensor is provided on a side wall part and is a sensor element unit in which a magnet and a magnetic sensor element opposed to the magnet are integrated through an elastic material.
