PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain simplification of constitution and cost reduction without necessitating an exclusive driving source to open and close pawl members in a changing device of a tool supporting body and also to surely hold the tool supporting body onto the changing device of the tool supporting body in a punch press in which the tool supporting body is used by changing. SOLUTION: In this device, the tool supporting body 3 on which a tool 1 for punching is mounted is used. A press frame 6 and the changing device 8 of the tool supporting body are included. The changing device 8 of the tool supporting body has the pawl members 24 which are provided on the main body 16 of the changing device so as to be freely opened and closed in the horizontal direction, enter notched parts 3d provided on the outer peripheral part of the tool supporting body 3 in the closed state and hand the tool supporting body 3 to the press frame in the closed state. The press frame 6 has the frame main body 5a and an ascending/descending member 40 which is provided freely ascendably and descendably to this frame main body 5a and with which the tool supporting body 3 is held freely attachably and detachably. The elevating and lowering mechanism 22 has an ascending/descending driving means 56 for elevating and lowering the ascending/descending member 40. There is provided with a linkage mechanism 25 for opening and closing the pawl members which make the pawl members 24 into the closed state from the opened state by utilizing the lowering motion of the ascending/descending member 40.
