PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a barrier device capable of preventing its cost from rising and downsizing a lens barrel. SOLUTION: In the barrier device having a rotating member capable of rotating around an optical axis, and a barrier member arranged at the edge of the lens barrel and interlocked with the rotation of the rotating member so as to open/shut to a totally shut position where it covers over the front surface of a photographing optical system and a totally open position where it uncovers the front surface of the photographing optical system, an elastic member absorbing the relieving movement of the rotating member with respect to the barrier member is provided between the barrier member and the rotating member, and the rotational force of the rotating member is transmitted to the barrier member through the elastic member.
