The invention relates to radio engineering and makes it possible to design small-sized, wideband and efficient multipurpose antennas. The inventive wide band antenna comprises an active folded dipole connected to an antenna-loading coil and single-turn loading coils which are pair-offset with respect to each other and connected to the discontinuity of said folded dipole. Passive loops comprising loading coils which are arranged between the loading coils of the active folded dipole can be connected between the antenna loading and a balancing capacity. An extension element can be connected to the antenna loading and the plates of said antenna loading and the balancing capacity can be corrugated-shaped. The active folded dipole and the balancing capacity can be connected to a feeder line directly or through a matching device.
