<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an induction heating cooker structured so as to include a container material determining part capable of accurately determining whether the material of a heating container is magnetic or non-magnetic regardless of a load by using a resonance capacitor voltage and a switching pulse of an invertor circuit, and its operation method. <P>SOLUTION: The induction heating cooker is structured to include a power supply part supplying the input power of an induction heating cooker by rectifying and filtering AC power; an invertor heating a container by using the input power supplied from the power supply part; and a container material determining part selectively heating the container by determining whether the container material of the cooker is magnetic or non-magnetic by using the resonance capacitor voltage and the switching pulse of the invertor. Thereby, the cooker can accurately determine the container material regardless of the load of the container, achieve reduction in cost owing to a simple logic structure, and the reliability and the price competitiveness of a product can be improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
