<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer system having a direct media access mode in which it can directly broadcast image data even if a BIOS is not started and an operating system is not executed. <P>SOLUTION: The computer system 100 includes a media access device 102, a computer host 104, a display 106, an MPEG decoder 108, a bus switch 110, and a controller 113. In a computer mode, the computer host 104 is turned on and the bus switch 110 is used to switch the bus data 112 of the media access device 102 to the computer host 104.
