PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve measurement accuracy by suppressing an influence of external light, without adding any alteration to an analysis tool. SOLUTION: An analyzer 1 utilizing an optical method comprises a holder section 33 for retaining the analysis tool 2; an enclosure 3 having an opening 36 utilized for retaining the analysis tool 2 for the holder section 33; and a lid 4 for selecting a state for covering the opening 36 or a state, without covering the opening 36. Preferably, the holder section 33 is composed so that it approaches an opening 36, when the lid 4 changes from a state of covering the opening 36 to a state of not covering it, and is separated from the opening 36, when the lid 4 changes from a state for covering the opening 36 to a state of not covering it.
