PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tub-type wood crusher capable of easily being illuminated at the time of inspection and maintenance after the completion of daily crushing work and capable of certainly putting out lights at the time of crushing work even if lighting is forgotten to be put out. SOLUTION: This moving type wood crusher is equipped with a base stand (3), a rotary crusher (8) provided on the base stand (3), a base board (3a) provided above the crusher (8) in a freely shaking manner, a tub (4), which is provided around an almost vertical axis on the base board (3a) in a freely rotatable manner and has an upwardly opened cylindrical shape to supply the wood to be crushed charged from an upper opening part to the crusher (8) while rotating the wood to be crushed, and a work lamp (31) for illuminating the crusher (8). The work lamp (31) is attached to the lower part of the base board (3a). At least, a mode selecting means (34) for selecting an inspection mode and a lighting means (3) for lighting the work lamp (31) when the inspection mode is selected by the mode selecting means (34) are provided.
