There is provided an image processing device for generating a still image having a high pixel density from a plurality of images. The image processing device includes: image extraction means for extracting a plurality of images to be used for generating the still image; shift amount detection means for detecting a shift amount between the extracted images; excluding means for excluding an image having the detected shift amount exceeding a predetermined threshold value, from the extracted images; and image synthesis means for combining the plurality of images other than the excluded images, so as to generate a still image. Thus, it is possible to effectively execute image processing when generating a still image from a plurality of images.
