A thick film composition consisting essentially of: a) electrically conductive powder; b) an inorganic binder wherein the inorganic binder is selected from TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>and any compounds that can generate TiO<SUB>2 </SUB>during firing and any one of the following compounds: Sb<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, CO<SUB>3</SUB>O<SUB>4</SUB>, PbO, Fe<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB>, SnO<SUB>2</SUB>, ZrO<SUB>2</SUB>, MnO, CuO<SUB>x </SUB>and mixtures thereof; and c) an organic medium.
