The rotary-piston engine consists of a twin-arc trochoid rotor and a housing with three identical sectors. As a sprocket (8) connected to the rotor rotates in a hollow gear wheel, the eccentric runners run at half the angular velocity of the cam, creating six changes of volume for each revolution, producing three working phases for a cam angle of 180[deg].
