摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce both electric power consumption and the cost of communication fees in the case that a present location is not acquired.

SOLUTION: This navigation system 100 for performing route guidance is provided with: a GPS part 114 for acquiring present location information by communications with GPS; a navigation information acquisition part 160 connected to a network 200 for receiving route data and map data on a route selected from a navigation server 300 for storing the map data and the route data; a guidance control part 120 for determining whether the present location information has been acquired or not and performing route guidance on the basis of acquired present location information in the case that the present location information has been acquired; a GPS communication control part 150 for disconnecting communications with GPS in the case that it is judged that the present location information has not been acquired; and a server communication control part 170 for disconnecting communications with the navigation server 300 in the case that it is judged that the present location information is not acquired.
