PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor causing no ghost image and having high sensitivity, little changes in the characteristics for repeated use and high productivity, and to provide a process cartridge and an electrophotographic apparatus having the above electrophotographic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: In the electrophotographic photoreceptor having a charge generating layer and a charge transport layer on a supporting body, the charge generating layer contains a charge generating substance and a binder resin. The electrophotographic photoreceptor has optical anisotropy with respect to two directions: the rotation direction of the photoreceptor and a direction perpendicular to the rotation direction of the photoreceptor.
