PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent marks from being left on the side faces of the nose and a pain from arising, and to obtain comfortable wearability for a long time by buffering the load from spectacles. SOLUTION: The nose pad 1 equipped with a pad body 2 and a hinge core 5 disposed integrally with the pad body 2 is provided with a gap 3 within the pad body 2. The gap 3 is opened outside through an aperture 4a disposed on one end surface in the longitudinal direction of the pad body 2. The spectacles are configured by attaching the nose pads 1 to a spectacle frame. The spectacles are worn on the face to allow the nose pads 1 to abut on the side faces of the nose. When the load from the spectacles acts on the nose pads 1, the pad body 2 are elastically deformed so as to crush the gaps 3 and the load from the spectacles is buffered. Such things as the leaving of the marks due to the oppression of the side faces of the nose contacted by the nose pads 1 and the arising of the pain do not occur any more and the comfortable wearability is eventually obtained for a long time.
