PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve rigidity of a paper guide constituting an automatic copy carrier mechanism on a picture image reading device equipped with the automatic copy carrier mechanism in a copy pressing cover pivotally supported free to open and close on a reading placing base. SOLUTION: A paper guide main body 31 constituting an inside guide surface and a side frame 32 provided on both sides of the paper guide main body 31 and in a direction roughly orthogonal to the inside guide surface are integrally molded of synthetic resin on the paper guide 30 constituting the inside guide surface of a carrier passage 3 on a copy-facsimile composite machine 100 equipped with an ADF 1.
