PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding device of a tool supporting body having simple constitution which is a device for applying to the holding of the tool supporting body which is changed and used in a punching press or the like, with which the rotation of the tool supporting body on standby is controlled and also the vertical motion of the tool supporting body caused by vibration is prevented. SOLUTION: This device is a device for holding circular tool supporting bodies 3, 4 on which tools 1, 2 are mountable. This device has the main bodies 16, 17 of holding devices which have a plurality of tool supporting body holding parts 18, placing part 18a which is provided in each tool supporting body holding part 18 of the main bodies 16, 17 of these holding devices and on which the tool supporting bodies 3, 4 are placed and pawl members 24. The pawl member 24 is freely opened and closed and has a pawl part which enters a notched part provided on the outer peripheral part of the tool supporting body 3, 4 in the closed state and has a collar part which is provided above this pawl part and is situated on a prescribed upward surface of the tool supporting body 3, 4 when the pawl part enters a notched part.
