SEMICIRCULAR AIR KNIFE HEAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semicircular air knife head with which the direction of a flat air current can be turned around the axis parallel with the major axis in the cross section of the flat air current by the required angle without damaging the force of the air and can be incorporated easily into an automatic treatment apparatus for supporting a plate-shaped material to be erected almost vertically and treating and conveying the plate-shaped material. SOLUTION: This semicircular air knife head is constituted so that a part of a hollow for introducing the force of the air is composed of fragments each having a columnar curved surface and the tangential direction of the columnar curved surface is made coincident with the direction of the air current to be supplied and/or jetted.
