The invention relates to an axial shaft seal with a counter sliding surface of a sliding pair with a pre-tensioned application of the sealing surface of at least one sealing element as primary seal, the above having a simple construction which also seals tight even at high pressures and the invention also relates to sealing elements for application in such an axial shaft seal. According to the invention, the axial sealing is achieved by use of a sealing element with self-tensioning of an elastic moulded primary seal (12), of annular ring form, at least in the sealing region. |
